Biography :
Brazilian guitarist born in the state of
Minos Cerais in the early 80s.
His first years of learning by oral transmission are consolidated through practice and performance based on blues, rock and Brazilian popular music.
In 2006, Rodrigo Viana settles in Paris. The cradle of world music matches perfectly with mixed roots where Rodrigo's curiosity about different cultures and artistic expressions.
In 2010, Rodrigo Viana encounter Ray Lema , the Congolese composer and pianist.
It was a turning point in the career of Rodrigo Viana .
He appears as a guitarist in the album of Ray Lema called '99' released in 2010.
After four years of national and international tours, Rodrigo joined the Nzimbu Project , directed by Ray.
Nzimbu's first album was released in France in January 2015.
In 2018, he recorded the guitars for the album ''Transcendence" of Ray Lema.
In 2015, he played with Stacey Kent for the European promotion of the album entitled Tenderly .
Then he recorded the guitars for the album by French comedian Lambert Wilson entitled " Wilson chante montand » under the direction of the pianist and arranger Bruno Fontaine .
In 2019, he devoted himself to the release of the album of his instrumental quartet Jekitiba with his partner Matthew Eskenazi , excellent bassist and composer,
published by the label Aurasky Music .
In 2021 and 2022, Rodrigo Viana turned with Chico Cesar , famous Brazilian singer and songwriter.
In 2023 he joined Maëva Borzakian's team as a guitarist to accompany her on her album "lovin truth" and the tour
